Account deletion
You remain in control of your account.
KIT is operated by Divij Pandya. A signed-in user can start permanent deletion directly in KIT. This page also provides a deletion route for users who cannot sign in.
Delete inside KIT
- Sign in to KIT.
- Open Settings.
- Select Account & security.
- Select Delete my KIT account and follow the confirmation steps.
What deletion removes
- The account, profile, authentication sessions and stored profile photograph.
- Private roster, journey and account-specific settings associated with the account.
- Family links, access permissions and registration information controlled by that account.
- User-created Crew Circle, Nearby, event, response, message and location-sharing information where it is owned solely by the deleting user.
- Push-notification subscriptions and other account-linked service records that are no longer required.
Shared information
Some content involving other users may need to remain in limited form so their records continue to make sense—for example, a message in a shared conversation may appear as sent by a deleted user. Where reasonably possible, the deleted account’s identifying information will be removed or anonymized.
If you cannot sign in
Email privacy@kitcrewapp.com with the subject “KIT account deletion request”, preferably from the email associated with the account. Include enough information to identify the account, but never send a password or four-digit access code. We will take reasonable steps to verify ownership before deletion.
Timing and limited retention
We aim to complete a verified request without undue delay. Access may be restricted while deletion is processed. Limited records may remain temporarily in protected backups or where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, enforcement or legal compliance. These records are isolated from ordinary use and deleted or anonymized when the applicable need or retention period ends.
